Paramount is apparently on board with Blu-ray now, though we are trying to confirm this since all they have done so far is issue a statement on Wednesday to TK Arnold of Home Media and The Hollywood Reporter, which he didn't publish until today.
The two-sentence statement (below) also mentions nothing about DreamWorks. DreamWorks live-action movies like "Transformers" are distributed by Paramount, so one could presume they will follow Paramount (though I don't think they did so when Paramount was previously releasing in both Blu and HD DVD -- correct me if I'm wrong).
DreamWorks Animation ("Shrek") is an independent company (though Paramount also distributes these titles in a separate output deal) and will make its own decision at some point, presumably.

Paramount's unconfirmed statement to TK Arnold of Home Media / The Hollywood Reporter:

"We are pleased that the industry is moving to a single high-definition format, as we believe it is in the best interest of the consumer. As we look to (begin) releasing our titles on Blu-ray, we will monitor consumer adoption and determine our release plans accordingly."

No one is more disappointed than Fox, that a glitch in less than 10% of players forced the studio to delay the release of "Master and Commander" until Feb. 5.
But bugs are a fact of life with a new format. Fox still has a robust schedule of no less than 20 Blu-ray Disc releases already announced for the remainder of this year.
And News Corp chairman Rupert Murdoch made the studio's commitment to Blu-ray clear this week when he became the first top exec to publicly make the accusation that HD DVD proponent Toshiba had essentially bought Paramount's support and said, "The public is going to want Blu-ray. The public can tell the difference."

It may be instructive to point out marketplace facts that raise questions about the logic behind the decision of Paramount/DreamWorks... before consumers get burned by a format that may be abandoned when their HD DVD contract ends in 18 months (if the format lasts that long) or before consumers unwittingly assist in creating a situation where no hi-def fomat becomes successful due to a prolonged battle that hands a complete victory to electronic video distribution.
